Rational Argument Reflection

Today I finished my rational argument essay. It was the last assignment I completed of my first semester of college back in person. The sense of finality I felt when I finally submitted my third draft was very satisfying and I got a sense of closure. I had an enjoyable time actually writing the paper as well. I had chosen to do mine on the topic of nuclear power. It is probably the only major issue that I actually have a strong opinion. In the process of writing the paper I actually learned some things that I didn't know before and it actually shifted my stance on the issue a bit. I had been under the impression that it was a cheaper energy source than hydroelectric and wind, but it is actually drastically more expensive. I had thought it was a miracle energy source that fearmongering was preventing from providing infinite clean energy. In actuality it is an energy source with just as many disadvantages as any other. In the end I'm glad I chose this topic as I learned more about a topic that interests me.

  1. Glad to hear you learned and were able to move with and against concerns surrounding this important energy. I had no doubts; you're a stellar student, Ben. Thank you!
